Psalm 126 — المزمور 126

תְּהִלִּים מזמור קכ״ו

The 150 Psalms of David with monthly and weekly liturgical schedules.

1. שִׁ֗יר הַֽמַּ֫עֲל֥וֹת בְּשׁ֣וּב ה׳ אֶת־שִׁיבַ֣ת צִיּ֑וֹן הָ֝יִ֗ינוּ כְּחֹלְמִֽים׃

   عِنْدَمَا أَرْجَعَ الرَّبُّ أَهْلَ أُورُشَلِيمَ مِنَ السَّبْيِ، صِرْنَا كَمَنْ يَرَى حُلْماً.

   A Song of Ascents. When the LORD brought back those that returned to Zion, We were like unto them that dream.

2. אָ֤ז יִמָּלֵ֪א שְׂח֡וֹק פִּינוּ֮ וּלְשׁוֹנֵ֢נוּ רִ֫נָּ֥ה אָ֭ז יֹאמְר֣וּ בַגּוֹיִ֑ם הִגְדִּ֥יל ה׳ לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת עִם־אֵֽלֶּה׃

   عِنْدَئِذٍ امْتَلأَتْ أَفْوَاهُنَا ضِحْكاً، وَأَلْسِنَتُنَا تَرَنُّماً. عِنْدَئِذٍ قَالَتِ الأُمَمُ: إِنَّ الرَّبَّ قَدْ أَجْرَى أُمُوراً عَظِيمَةً مَعَ هَؤُلاءِ.

   Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing; then said they among the nations: 'The LORD hath done great things with these.'

3. הִגְדִּ֣יל ה׳ לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת עִמָּ֗נוּ הָיִ֥ינוּ שְׂמֵחִֽים׃

   نَعَمْ، إِنَّ الرَّبَّ قَدْ صَنَعَ أُمُوراً عَظِيمَةً لَنَا، فَفَرِحْنَا.

   The LORD hath done great things with us; we are rejoiced.

4. שׁוּבָ֣ה ה׳ אֶת־[שְׁבִיתֵ֑נוּ] (שבותנו) כַּאֲפִיקִ֥ים בַּנֶּֽגֶב׃

   أَرْجِعْنَا يَا رَبُّ مِنْ سَبْيِنَا، كَمَا تَرْجِعُ السُّيُولُ إِلَى النَّقَبِ.

   Turn our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the dry land.

5. הַזֹּרְעִ֥ים בְּדִמְעָ֗ה בְּרִנָּ֥ה יִקְצֹֽרוּ׃

   فَمَنْ يَزْرَعْ بِالدُّمُوعِ يَحْصُدْ غَلّاتِهِ بِالابْتِهَاجِ.

   They that sow in tears Shall reap in joy.

6. הָ֘ל֤וֹךְ יֵלֵ֨ךְ ׀ וּבָכֹה֮ נֹשֵׂ֢א מֶשֶׁךְ־הַ֫זָּ֥רַע בֹּא־יָבֹ֥א בְרִנָּ֑ה נֹ֝שֵׂ֗א אֲלֻמֹּתָֽיו׃ {פ}

   وَمَنْ يَذْهَبْ بَاكِياً حَامِلاً بِذَارَهُ يَرْجِعْ مُتَرَنِّماً حَامِلاً حُزَمَ حَصِيدِهِ.

   Though he goeth on his way weeping that beareth the measure of seed, He shall come home with joy, bearing his sheaves.
